Gladys Hayden Obituary
Gladys Ione Hayden (90) of Rock Falls, WI passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi, WI. She was born October 26, 1924 in the Town of Rock Creek; daughter of John & Anna (Brumberg) Torgerson.
She attended Cranberry Creek School and graduated from the Durand High School. On November 9, 1943 she married Bernard Hayden at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Parsonage. They farmed many years in Rock Creek Township.
Gladys enjoyed listening to country western music and keeping her cookie jar full for when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. She loved to spend time with them.
She is survived by son, Jerry (Kay) Hayden; daughters, Jane (Loyd) Helland, Judi Hayden; daughter-in-law, Diane Frank; 7 grandchildren: Mitchell Hayden, Wendy (Steve) Thompson, Matthew(Karin Fauteck) Hayden, Leski Hayden, Erin (Ivan Soltero) Helland, Ember (Arek Miaskowski) Helland, Luke (Renee) Hayden; 8 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, Grant Thompson, Grady and Skout Hayden, Sienna and Elodie Soltero Helland, Kinga Miaskowski; sister, Francis Frank; sisters-in-law, Juanita and Kathryn Torgerson, Marie, Doris and Nancy Hayden. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; son, Arlan; sisters, Leona (Helmer) Ruud, Minda (Merle) Shaker, Tina (Ralph) Rasmusson, Ellen Klumb, Norma (Russell) Smeltzer; brothers, LaVern, Ingar, Alvin, John and brother-in-law, Geo Frank.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Michelle Nickodemus officiating. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery.
