Norma Yarrington Obituary

Norma Ellen Yarrington, age 94, of Durand, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Dove Health Care - West in Eau Claire. She was born November 18, 1923 in the Town of Peru; daughter of Martin and Sarah (Mishler) Stever. She grew up on her family's farm in Meridean and attended country school. She was united in marriage to Albert Robert Yarrington on July 2, 1949. Together they farmed on Maxville Prairie. Norma enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and raising flowers. She loved her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Ada (Ron Christianson) Yarrington, Carol (Bruce) Martin, and Bob (Cheryl) Yarrington; daughter-in-law, Deneise Yarrington; six grandchildren, Stacey (Cullen) Wargowsky, Eric (Heather) Martin, Stefanie (David Shaurette) Yarrington, Justin (Courtney) Yarrington, Cody Yarrington, and Casey (Addie Quinn) Yarrington; six great-grandchildren, Brendan Wargowsky, Cameron Martin, Alivia Martin, Oliver Yarrington, Hailey Yarrington, and Landon Yarrington; two sisters, Oritha Smith and Charlotte Girard; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Yarrington; son, Ronnie Yarrington; parents, Martin and Sara Stever; sister, Veta Young; an infant brother; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred (Ada Bien and Edith Sylvester) Yarrington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thelma and Bud Nussberger, Elizabeth and George Metcalf, Beatrice and Gerald Slagle; nieces and nephews, Patti Young, Timothy Young, Irene (Metcalf) Hall and Betty (Metcalf) Seng.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand. Burial will follow at Maxville Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday. To express on-line condolences visit obituaries at www.goodrichfh.com.
