Alisa Balterman Obituary
Alisa Marie Balterman, age 64 of rural Pepin, WI died unexpectedly Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her home. She was born June 25, 1956 in New York; daughter of Harry and Sydney Balterman.
Alisa held jobs in many different fields during her life such as computer programming, finance, and advertising/promotion. Most recently she spent 11 rewarding years providing supportive services at a group home in Durand.
Animals were Alisa's passion. She fostered cats but ended up adopting so many herself she had to stop. She usually had at least 3 dogs at any one time. She adored her parrot, Lydia, her constant companion for 46 years.
Once she visited the horse barn at the Minnesota State Fair and was so smitten, she immediately bought three of her own. She also loved sailing, reading and motorcycles.
Most importantly, Alisa was always loving and caring toward her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Eugene (fiancé - Amy) Balterman- Werlich; two grandchildren, Geno Jr. and Cinnamon; sister, Lois (Allan) Goodwin; three nieces; one nephew; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Sydney Balterman; former partner, Michelle Werlich.
