Barbara Julson Obituary
Barbara Ellen Julson (78) of Pepin, WI died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, WI. She was born February 14, 1938 in Wabasha, MN; daughter of Clarence and Reva (Lenhart) Samuelson.
After graduating from Pepin High School in 1956 she moved to Minneapolis, MN. It was there she started working at General Mills. She met and married Lee Allan Julson in January of 1957. They moved to Brooklyn Park, MN where they raised their family and lived for many years. Lee passed away in April 1995. Barbara relocated to Pepin. In October 2002 she met and married Roger Lecander. They lived together happily in Pepin. Barbara loved to bird watch, cook, and collect antiques. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She and Roger loved to play cards, go to early breakfasts with friends, and just drive around together taking in the local sights. Together they traveled to many places that Barbara had never seen before. Roger passed away in July of 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Allan (Ginny) Julson of Boyceville, WI, Kent (Sharon) Julson of Cannon Falls, MN; grandchildren, Isa(Nico) and Jack; stepsons David (Elizabeth Hovland) Lecander of Stillwater, MN, Douglas (Terry) Lecander of New Hope, MN, and step grandchildren Hannah, Anneka, and Kevin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Reva.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pepin, WI with Pastor Karna Marks officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. A private burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin.
