Dan Prokosch Obituary

Dan Marvin Prokosch, age 75, of Pepin, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 18, 2018. He was born on May 21, 1943 in Richfield, MN to Clarence and Jane (Westerlund) Prokosch. His family moved to Mora, MN in 1957. Dan graduated from Mora High School and went on to work as welder and metal fabricator, owning his own business through most of his career. He moved to Pepin in 1991. Dan loved to hunt, fish, and make his own knives. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; seven children, Mark Prokosch of Mora, MN, Wayne (Kari) Prokosch of Pepin, David Prokosch of Mora, MN, Daniel (Sarah Smith-Prokosch) Prokosch of Stockholm, Charlene (Joe) Waddell of Scandia, MN, Virginia (Todd) Budensiek of Red Wing, MN, and Lisa Elwood of Mora, MN; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Wendy) Prokosch of Mora, MN; two sisters, Bonnie Prokosch of Brainerd, MN, and Norma Prokosch of Anoka, MN; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Village of Stockholm Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Goodrich Funeral Home, Durand is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.goodrichfh.com.
