Diana Tulip Obituary
Diana Lee Tulip (72) of Arkansaw, WI died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI. She was born October 27, 1945 in Durand, WI ; daughter of Vernon and Bernice (Metcalf) Kern. She attended the Porcupine country school and graduated from Arkansaw High School.
On January 27, 1962 she married James Tulip at the Porcupine Church. Diana worked as bookkeeper for Tulip Cabinet with her husband Jim. She enjoyed playing cards, going on scooter and convertible rides, bowling, golfing and traveling. Diana and Jim spent a month every winter in Florida with friends. Mostly she loved to spoil her five grandsons. She loved going to their school and sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, James Tulip of Arkansaw, children, Terri Jo (Dennis) Hartung of Roberts and Jeff (Jenny) Tulip of Arkansaw; grandchildren, Brenton (Erin) Hartung, Brady Hartung, Christopher (Miranda) Tulip, Cody Tulip and Tyler "TJ" Tulip; sister, Sharon (Lynn) Fleishauer; sister-in-law, Mary Kern; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Bernice (Metcalf) Kern; infant son, Darren Tulip; brother, James Kern.
A Celebration of Life will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw with a service and time of sharing beginning at 7:00 pm. A private burial will be in Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI is assisting the family.
