Glen Henry Heath

Glen Henry Heath (83) of Maricopa, AZ, formerly of Durand, WI died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Archstone Care Center in Chandler, AZ. He was born January 7, 1932 in Waterville Township, Pepin County, WI; son of Arthur and Carrie Adeline (Nimmo) Heath. He graduated from Durand High School. After serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict, he returned to get his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from the UW-Eau Claire. Glen taught at Long Fellow Elementary School in Eau Claire, WI for 33 years. In 2007 he moved to Arizona to be near his brother, Lavern. While in Wisconsin Glen enjoyed antique shopping, helping with the Alma and Pepin County Historical Societies. Glen's love of people was his greatest joy, whether in Wisconsin or Arizona. He will be remembered most for his willingness to help people.
Glen is survived by his brother, Lavern Heath of Maricopa, AZ; nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia King and Florence Stewart.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday March 26, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Durand, WI. Burial with Military rites by Durand American Legion Post #181 will be at Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
