Jane Keeler Obituary
Jane Ann Keeler (88) of Arkansaw, died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Advent Health in Durand, WI. She was born November 22, 1930 in Arkansaw, WI; daughter of Austin and Nettie (Lamphere) Dunbar. She graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1950.
On June 7, 1950 she married William "Bill" J. Keeler in Durand, WI. Along with raising a family, Jane also was a nurse's aide in Menomonie, WI.
Jane loved a number of hobbies throughout the years. Cake decorating, painting, macramé, playing cards, traveling and site-seeing were among her favorites. Another hobby was music. Besides being a huge fan of Elvis Presley, her favorite past-time was playing the autoharp and entertaining nursing home residents around the Chippewa Valley for a number of years. Along with her hobbies, Jane was quite the character.
She is survived by her children, Betty Keeler of Phoenix, AZ, James Keeler (Diane Forster) of Durand, WI; Nancy (Dan) Peterson of Eau Claire, WI; three grandchildren, Keven (Jennifer) Keeler of Peoria, AZ, Justin Watts (Becky Wood) of Mondovi, WI, Lee Ann (Jacob) Jordison Keeler of Providence, RI; four great-grandchildren, Alexxander, Novalie ,Axel and Annie; brother, Archie (Agnes) Dunbar; nieces, nephews and other relatives; also her special friend, Sassy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and very special grandma, Mary Lamphere.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, January14, 2018 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday .
