Jon Anderson Obituary
Jon Eric Anderson (52) of Arkansaw died Friday, March 15, 2013 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 24, 1960 in Eau Claire, WI; son of Earl and LaVey Setterlund Anderson. Jon graduated from Pepin High School. Following graduation he attended Chippewa Valley Technical College where he received his degree as an Auto Body Technician.
On August 17, 1997 he married Tammy Simm at their home. Jon worked at Ken Vance Motors in Eau Claire for 14 years. In 2008 they purchased Nelson Auto Body in Eau Claire. Jon enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and extreme snow skiing. Jon built an award winning car, a 1937 Hudson Terraplane. Together Jon and Tammy built their home, along with organizing many car shows. They organized the auto show for Durand Fun Fest and the Blues on the Chippewa, each show raising money for the local food pantry and theatre group. Jon enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Anderson of Arkansaw, WI; children; Jesse (Kathyrn) Simm of Eau Claire, WI and Jordan (Katlin) Simm of Riverfalls, WI: parents, Earl and
LaVey Anderson of Pepin, WI; sister, Mary Anderson of Medford, WI, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Sabylund Lutheran Church in Stockholm, WI with Pastor Sue Odegard officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand is assisting the family.
