JUNE E. THOMAS
June Elaine Thomas (89) of Durand, Wisconsin died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Our House Senior Living in Eau Claire. She was born January 17, 1923 on the home farm in Columbia County, Wisconsin; the oldest of three daughters born to Ralph and Hazel Lucas Cuff.
She graduated from Pardeeville High School. Following graduation she went on to the Madison Business College and then worked in Madison for seven years. On June 24, 1950 she married Leslie E. Thomas. Most of their married years were spent in Durand where they raised their five children. Leslie died in March of 2002.
As a member of the United Methodist Church in Durand, June's church family was very important to her and she served many different roles. She was also a 4-H leader and a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her many years as a Welcome Wagon representative in the Durand area. June enjoyed flower gardening, crafts, cooking, sewing, playing cards, music, camping and traveling.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand. Pastor Bruce Gardow officiating. An Eastern Star service will be held at 10:45 am. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Durand. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday.
The family would like to thank Our House Memory Care Unit for their loving care of our mother when we could no longer care for her.
