Lloyd Weinzirl Obituary
Lloyd George Weinzirl (82) of Eau Galle died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Mayo Health Systems in Eau Claire, WI. He was born June 16, 1932 at the family farm in Eau Galle; son of George & Alice (Coulson) Weinzirl. He graduated from Durand High School. On September 8, 1956 he married Donna Wallin at the Moravian Church in Stockholm. Lloyd farmed all his life on the family farm, and was a strong, hard worker who was very successful with expansion and improvements.
Lloyd enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, golfing, snowmobiling and riding the ATV. He also enjoyed his many trips to Montana and spending family time at the cabin up north. He loved spending time with family, friends and especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lloyd had a great personality, never complained, had a sharp mind and was polite. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Survived by his children, Debra Harmon of New Richmond, WI, Cathy (Ted) Ostrowski of Tomah, WI, Michael Weinzirl of Eau Galle, WI, David Weinzirl of Menomonie, WI, Kevin (Doris) Weinzirl of River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Rhiannon Harmon, Jason (Jody) Harmon, Teddy Jr. Ostrowski (Tiffany Goodwin), Tyler Ostrowski, Connor Weinzirl, Marissa Weinzirl; great-grandchildren, Mason and Ryan Harmon; sister, Berdena Weber of Menomonie, WI. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents, George & Alice (Coulson) Weinzirl; brother, Charles and an infant sister, Dorothy Mae.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Durand with Pastor Grace Baldridge officiating. Burial will be at Clear View Cemetery in Eau Galle. Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
