Loma Hetrick Obituary
Loma Mae Hetrick (90) of Pepin died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI surrounded by family. She was born April 17, 1925 in Eau Galle, WI; daughter of Albert & Lida (Walker) Myers. She attended Hay Creek School in Eau Galle Township and graduated from Durand High School.
On June 30, 1947 she married Ralph Hetrick at the Methodist Church in Eau Galle. They farmed near Eau Galle and later in Bear Creek rural Durand. In 1953 they moved to the Hudson area and later Pierce County. They moved to the Baldwin area in 1963. Loma worked at Bark's Bakery for over 16 years and then as a dietary aide at the Baldwin Care Center. In 1993 they moved to the Village of Pepin where she was a member of the Senior Council, a Senior Advocate and volunteered at the Pepin meal site. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pepin.
Loma enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, books on tape, gardening and fishing. She also loved to watch cooking & variety shows. Loma loved baking and cooking for her family. She especially loved to spend time visiting with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Darlene) Hetrick of Gainesville, MO, Donald Hetrick of Eau Claire, WI, Douglas (Mary Jane) Hetrick of Burbank, CA; Seven Grandchildren; Fourteen Great-Grandchildren; Three Great-Great-Grandchildren; brother, Joseph (Doris) Myers; sister, Zeona Bechel; brother-in-law, Merlin Peterson; many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Hetrick; son, Steven Hetrick; grandson, Timothy Hetrick; great-granddaughter, Mia Hetrick; daughter-in-law, Mary Hetrick; sister, Alberta Peterson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Pepin with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin.
