Lyle Luther Obituary
Lyle Lloyd Luther (82) of Plum City, WI died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Kinnic Health & Rehab in River Falls, WI. He was born July 22, 1934 in Arkansaw, WI; son of William & Vera (Metcalf) Luther Sr. He graduated from Arkansaw High School.
On February 17, 1955 he married Arlene Poeschl at St. Mary's in Durand, WI. They lived on a hobby farm in rural Elmwood, where they raised their family. After the children were grown, they moved to River Falls, WI. Lyle worked for Whirlpool in St. Paul, MN for 33 years and then West Industries in Hudson for 10 years. After retiring in 2000, Lyle and Arlene moved to Plum City. Arlene died in 2006.
Lyle enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and never missed any family events.
He is survived by his daughters, Helen (Jerry) Bechel of Plum City, WI, Charlene Holmes (special friend, Brian) of Spring Valley, WI, Loretta Kittelson (special friend, Gary) of Hudson, WI,; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Sievwright of Durand, WI; brothers, Edward (Judy) Luther of Alma, WI, William Luther Jr. of Oregon, WI; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene; son, Thomas Luther; great-granddaughter, Allie Jo Luhman; son-in-law, Bennie Kittelson; brothers, Bert and James Luther; sisters, Eileen Kitchner and Isabelle Benson.
