Olivia Snyder Obituary
Olivia Marada Snyder (88) of Durand, WI passed away with her family by her side on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. She was born January 17, 1928 in Pepin County, WI; daughter of William and Irma (Gueltzow) Schultz.
She attended Canton country school.
On July 26, 1952 she married Myron Junior Snyder at St. John's Lutheran Church in Durand. Olivia worked seasonally at Huntsinger Farms for several years. She was a breast cancer survivor. She loved camping, fishing, cooking and canning. She also loved gardening, plants and flowers, bird watching, crafts, quilting and was a big fan of going to thrift sales. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Richard (Peggy) Snyder of Arkansaw, Marion (Robert) Baier of Eau Galle and Royson (Sue) Snyder of Durand; six grandchildren, Corey Baier (fiancé' Nichole Ziegler) of Eau Galle, WI, Amy Baier of Durand, WI, LeeAnn (Geovanny) Snyder Concepcion of Bayside, NY, Matthew Snyder of Arkansaw, WI, Jennifer (Karl) Wayne of Menomonie, WI, Samantha Snyder of Eau Claire, WI; two step-granddaughters, Sarah (Joe) Ariaudo of San Diego, CA, Jennifer (Jamey) King of Durand, WI; five great-grandchildren, Paige, Brady and Walker Baier, Genevieve Concepcion, Halayna Wayne; four step great-grandchildren, Alexis and Kayla Ziegler, Jack and Alex Ariaudo; sisters, Bernice Knowles of Red Wing, MN, Hilda Alderman of Providance, RI; brother, Arthur (Pauline) Schultz of Onalaska, WI; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior; granddaughter; Jessica Snyder; daughter-in-law: Sharon Snyder; sisters, Verna Hotchkiss, Belva Schultz; brother, Walter Schultz.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Durand with Pastor Michelle Nickodemus officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Durand. Friends may call Monday, December 26, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
