Patricia Breitung Obituary
Patricia Valentine Breitung (86) of Pepin, WI died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at The Season's in Plum City, WI. She was born February 14, 1933 in Plum City; daughter of Donald and Gladys (Smith) Herbison. Pat graduated from Plum City High School.
On May 10, 1952 she married William L. Breitung in Plum City, WI. Along with William's work they traveled throughout the South and Mid-West, before moving back to Pepin in 1957. Pat was a very good seamstress, she enjoyed flower gardening and she was very talented and creative, which could be seen by the flower arrangements she made. She loved genealogy and even traveled to Ireland to research her family.
Pat was active in the community where she served on the cemetery board and was active with "friends of the library". She also served as the Village Clerk in Pepin. She was known as the "School Historian" for all of her historical knowledge of the Pepin schools. Pat also worked for attorney's Morey & Ricci. She was a business owner, operating "Pat's Shoe's", sold Avon and ran "Pat's Craft's & Flower's" out of her home.
She is survived by her four children, Cynthia Gwinn (Will Bryant) of Eau Claire, WI, LuAnn (Michael) Tolliver of Minnetonka, MN, Larry (Kristie) Breitung of Belle Plaine, MN, Patti (Rick) Gould of Spring Valley, WI; five grandchildren, Brandon Tolliver of Orono, MN, Cory Tolliver of Minnetonka, MN, Spencer Tolliver of Bloomington, MN, Alyssa Gould of Charlotte, NC and Rex Gould of St. Paul, MN; siblings, Helen Sforza; Margaret Berget; Arthur (Shirley) Herbison; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Breitung; and brother, Howard Herbison.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Pepin Sportsman's Club in Pepin from 12:30-3:00 pm on Saturday.
