On this past August 29, 2012, our Lord called to Himself the soul of Rachel Fern Forsberg at the Plum City Care Center. She entered Life at the earthly age of 89 years. Born on March 8th, 1923 in Maiden Rock Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin; was a daughter of Oliver and Esther (Kaempf) Forsberg. She was baptized on April 4, 1942.
Rachel attended Cotter Hill School and spent her life on the family farm. Since the spring of 2008, she had been a resident of the Plum City Care Center. Rachel was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lyle Forsberg and one sister, Florence Forsberg.
Rachel is survived by many cousins and friends. The family requests that any donations be given to the Plum City Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand. Pastor Tim Blauert officiating. Burial will be at Free Home Cemetery in Union Township.
