Raymond Bignell Obituary

Raymond Charles "Tim" Bignell, age 73, of Arkansaw, died on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Heritage of Elmwood. He was born on August 11, 1946 in Durand to Warren and Gladys (Scholfield) Bignell. He grew up in the Arkansaw area and attended Arkansaw High School. In his younger years, Tim worked in farming and logging. He spent most of his career working as a construction laborer for Glaus Brothers Construction. Tim was united in marriage to Kathryn Hartert on June 3, 1967 in Plainview, MN. The couple was blessed with four children. Tim was a longtime member of the Arkansaw Fur, Fish, and Game club and loved to go camping, fishing, and do woodworking. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy of Arkansaw; three children, Brian Bignell of Durand, Brad (Gayle Miljour) Bignell of Nebraska, and Bruce (Angie) Bignell of Plum City; four grandchildren, MavRick (Elayna), Courtney, Brody, and Grady; three great-grandchildren, Aiva, Beau, and Amara; five siblings, Darlene Berger of Holmen, Carol Chroniger of Plum City, Judy (Dennis) Kern of St. Paul, MN, Dick Bignell of Arkansaw, and Gladys (Lonnie) Cataract of River Falls; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brent Bignell; parents; step-father, Emery Bignell; and two brothers, Larry and Jack Bignell.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 10:00 am on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery. A light luncheon will follow at the community room at Hillcrest Apartments in Arkansaw. Goodrich Funeral Home, Durand is assisting the family with arrangements.
