Richard Smeltzer Obituary
Richard Arlyn Smeltzer, 69, of Mondovi, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. He was born November 28, 1943 in Eau Claire, WI; son of Russell and Norma (Torgerson) Smeltzer. He attended Menomonie High School and Eau Claire Technical College. Richard was a construction worker, heavy equipment operator and farmer during his working life.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Smeltzer of Menomonie, WI; his three children, Jason (Char) Smeltzer of Eau Claire, WI, Jody (Robert) Pederson of River Falls, WI, Stacy Smeltzer of Loyal, WI; ten grandchildren, Janee, Kiara, Gage, Rachel, Trenton, Grace, Keston, Rhyder, Paige and Reece; five siblings, Rod (Trudy) Smeltzer of Menomonie, WI; Joan (Paul) Sachs of Neenah, WI, Sharyl (Terry) Wolf of Souix Falls, SD, Barbara (John) Sand of Waukesha, WI, Diane (Steve) Josephson of La Crosse, WI; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell and daughter Traci Smeltzer.
