Robert LaPean Obituary
Robert Allen LaPean (66) of Durand, WI died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. He was born March 12, 1950 in Durand, WI; son of Alfred and Irene (Rose) LaPean.
He graduated from Arkansaw High School. Following school he attended Eau Claire Technical School. In 1970 he married Julie Bauer. Together they had two sons, Scott and Jeff. They later divorced. Robert worked at Armour & Co. in St. Paul, MN for many years. He then transferred to the plant in Iowa where he worked for a couple years. He then returned to the Durand area where he worked various jobs. He married Peggy Johnson in 1978 and together they had a son, Robert John. They later divorced.
He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, hunting and fishing. Robert was very proud of his sons and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his sons, Scott LaPean of Black River Falls, WI, Jeff LaPean of Eau Claire, WI and Robert LaPean of Milwaukee, WI; brothers, Bernard (Linda) LaPean of Menomonie, WI, Larry (Pam) LaPean of Hudson, WI; sisters, Violet (Wilbert) Pichler of Durand, WI, Jean Fredrickson of Eau Claire, WI, Janice (Jerry) Snider of Eau Claire, WI, ; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; nephews, Kevin LaPean, Joe Fredrickson; brother-in-law, Bill Fredrickson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw, WI. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
