Steven Lindstrom Obituary
Steven Allen Lindstrom (64) of Durand passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, WI. He was born November 6, 1948 in Durand, WI; son of Victor and Evelyn (Johnson) Lindstrom.
Steve attended and later graduated from the Durand High School. He married Mary Hoch, they later divorced. Steve farmed most all of his life with his brothers, Randy and Gary and his sons and nephews at Breezy Point Farms. After retiring from farming in 2007, he drove truck, and chased after parts for his son at Maxville Truck and Repair. On June 9, 2007 he married Julie Larson.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his 7 children and 8 grandchildren. He was a hardworking, compassionate, kind, and patient man who loved life and lived it to its fullest. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, driving his sports car, tractor pulling, snowmobiling, and traveling. Steve had friends from all walks of life, both young and old. His dedication to the farm and his community led him to serve on the Fountain City Mutual Insurance board, Nelson Town Board, and AMPI.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Lindstrom of Durand, WI; his children, Christopher (Carrie) Lindstrom of Durand, WI, Dulcee (Karl) Kurth of Durand, WI, Nickolas Lindstrom of Rock Falls, WI, Tessa (Brian) Lindstrom of Mondovi, WI; step-children, Nicholas Fernholz of St. Paul, MN, Jeremy (Danielle) Fernholz of Elk Mound, WI, Elizabeth (Joseph) Walker of Alma, WI; eight grandchildren: Jade Lindstrom; Karter, Dawson, and Victoria Kurth; Emily and Nicole Walker; Holten and Jemma Fernholz; his mother, Evelyn Lindstrom of Durand, WI; sisters, Karen (Sam) Schroeder of Pepin, WI, Janet (Lyle) Pelke of Colfax, WI; brothers, Gary (Diane) Lindstrom of Durand, WI, Randy (Becky) Lindstrom of Durand, WI, and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Lindstrom; and nephew, Chad Lindstrom.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Lyster Lutheran Church in rural Nelson, WI with Pastor Michael Vetsch officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
