Virginia Mae Hetrick (84) of Pepin, WI died Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Pepin Health and Rehab in Pepin, WI. She was born September 17, 1931 in Pepin County, WI; daughter of William & Ruth (Jahnke) Marcks. She attended Little Plum School and graduated from Arkansaw High School.
On October 23, 1950 Virginia married Charles Hetrick in Wabasha, MN. They spent their entire life in the Pepin area. Charles died April 14, 2015. Virginia worked various jobs along with raising her family. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, fishing, dancing, reading and putting together puzzles. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Mark ( Dana) Hetrick of Pepin, WI, Jeff (Rae Ann) Hetrick of Durand, WI, Bob (Diane) Hetrick of Pepin, WI; daughter, Janene (Mitchell) Nelson of Stockholm, WI; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Marcks of Janesville, WI, Bernard Marcks of Buffalo City, WI; sisters, Joyce Schafer of California, Phyllis (Lynn) Seyffer of Durand, WI. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; daughter, Lynda Hetrick Meixner ; grandson, Brent Hetrick; brothers, Bob, Ray, Ron; sisters, Joanne, Lois and Carol.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin, WI with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Pepin Sportsman Club from 1:00-4:00 pm. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand is assisting the family.
