Warren Patnode Obituary
Warren Eugene Patnode (91) of Arkansaw, WI died Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Comforts of Home in Menomonie, WI. He was born May 16, 1925 in Arkansaw, WI; son of Wilford and Clara (Supri) Patnode. He graduated from Arkansaw High School.
On May 21, 1949 he married Jeanne Atkins at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Durand. Jeanne died on August 26, 1997. Warren later married Lorraine (Wolf) Brunner. She died September 14, 2014.
Warren was a dairy farmer. He was also a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service for twenty years. He was a member of the Rural Letter Carrier Association; a member of the Arkansaw school board for 12 years and the Durand Hospital board for 9 years. He was a member of the Arkansaw United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and going to Fort Myers for the winters.
He is survived by his children, Marie (Keith) Ericson of Pepin, WI, Wayne (Anita) Patnode of Arkansaw, WI, Bruce (Mary) Patnode of Arkansaw, WI and Dwight (Sheila) Patnode of Sheboygan, WI; grandchildren, Eric (Sara), Weston (Jenni), Brock (Lisa), Curtis (Rachel), Sandy (Scott), Shawn (Carina), Stacy (Jason), Joshua (Kasey), Jackie; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Giles of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Gwelda Glaus of Durand, WI, Fern (Gene) Ingalls of Waconia, MN; special friends, Frank and Diane Girard; step-children, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Clara; step-mother, Bessie; wife, Jeanne; wife, Lorraine; granddaughter, Amy M. Ericson and grandson, John K. Ericson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017at the United Methodist Church in Arkansaw with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
