Delores Raye (Malueg) Bjurquist

Delores Raye Bjurquist, age 82, of Plum City, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2021 at her home. She was born September 19, 1938 in Prescott, WI; daughter of Raymond and Avis (Martindale) Malueg.

She graduated from Prescott High School in 1957. On April 23, 1960 she married Frank Bjurquist in Prescott, WI. In 1963 Delores and Frank bought a farm in rural Plum City. Together they farmed all their married life.

Delores enjoyed doing puzzles, picking wild berries, feeding birds, and taking care of the baby farm animals.

She is survived by her son, Todd (Tina) Bjurquist of Plum City, WI; daughter, Christina (Edward) Schaefer of Waterford, WI; grandchildren, Marah, Alex, and Cael; great-granddaughter, Jada; brother, Ray (Pat) Malueg of Prescott, WI; nieces, nephews and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bjurquist; parents, Raymond and Avis (Martindale) Malueg.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Sabylund Lutheran Church in Lund with Pastor Paul Oppedahl officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Old Sabylund Cemetery at a later date. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI is assisting the family.
