Doris Marie (Anderson) Johnson

Doris Marie Johnson, 87, of rural Pepin, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, WI. She was born March 14, 1935 in Pepin Township; daughter of Ed and Ruby(Nord) Anderson.

She attended Barry Corner School. Doris left school and on June 27, 1953 she married Marvin Johnson at Lund Covenant Church. She always desired to finish school and Doris received her GED when she was 57.

In earlier days, Doris and Marvin did a lot of gardening. Doris enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitch, sewing, doing puzzles and baking.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Mayne of Pepin, WI, LaVonne (Chuck) Joiner of Seguin, TX, Karen (Al) Dutton of Williston, FL, Cindy Truskolaski of San Antonio, TX, Becky (Troy) Gates of Arkansaw, WI; son, Elliott Johnson of Pepin, WI; 8 grandchildren, Angelica Mayne, Toni Raethke, Terry Harris, Sheila, Allen & William Dutton, Justin Linhart, Travis Gates; 2 step-grandchildren, Thomas Mayne and Stephanie Mayne; 5 great-grandchildren, Ty, Andrea and Ashley Jaillite, Jeremy Daniels, Tallington Gates; step great-granddaughter, Kameryn Fletcher; 2 great-great grandchildren, twins, Michael and Isabella Jaillite; sister, Dorothy (Dick) Jahn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin, three infant sons, Howard, Marvin and Marlin; infant brothers, Victor and Harland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Lund Mission Covenant Church in Lund, WI with Pastor Darren Catron officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2022  from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in rural Stockholm, WI.
