Eugene Bechel Obituary
Eugene J. Bechel (82) of Durand, WI passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was born December 12, 1932 to Mathias A. & Emma (Dettling) Bechel. He attended St. John's Catholic School in Plum City, WI. Eugene married Elaine Anderson Sievwright on June 4, 1974. They farmed near Plum City until they sold the farm and moved to Durand in 2011. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, mowing the lawn and especially time with family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren always put a smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife Elaine; four children, Sandy (Arthur) McNaughton, Steve (Mary) Sievwright, Scott (Kay) Sievwright and Sue Ann (Bryan Olson) Allard; grandsons, Dwight (Kim) McNaughton, Nate (Amanda) McNaughton, Sterling (Sadie Sletten) Sievwright, Brett (Holly Klinger) and Ben(Ashley Essary) Biederman; granddaughters, Jessica (Chris )
Okey, Stephanie Sievwright and Sara (Dave) Glaus; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Connor, Jenna, Crystal, Marissa, Julia, Aria, Dwight, Kaylee, Simon, Adelyn, Christian and Landen. He is further survived by two brothers, Lawrence (Bernadene) Bechel, Casper (Margaret) Bechel and two sisters, Sister Rita Marie and Rita (Bill) Biesterveld. He is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
A Memorial Mass will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City with Rev. Paul G. Czerwonka officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
