Helen Etta (Milliren) Church

Helen Etta Church, 93, of Pepin, WI died Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha, MN. She was born November 2, 1929 in Hettinger, ND; daughter of Clyde and Marie (Kleeman) Milliren. Helen attended Hettinger High School.

On August 30, 1947 she married Arthur Allen Church in Wabasha, MN. They lived all their married life in the Pepin area. Arthur died in 1990.

Helen was a member of the Pepin United Methodist Church.

She was a wife, and a mother, who also worked on the family farm. She enjoyed deer hunting and gardening. Helen truly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, family meant everything.

 She is survived by her children, Richard (Jeanie) Church of Superior, WI, Mary (Dennis) Clark of Waterloo, IA, Robert (Kathy) Church of Pepin, WI, Harry (Kathy) Church of Stockholm, WI, Edward (Kathy) Church of Red Wing, MN, John (Kelly) Church of Sheboygan, WI; 16 grandchildren: 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Mable Block of Wenachee, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Church; parents, Clyde and Marie (Kleeman) Milliren; brothers, Robert, Edward, and Vernie Milliren; sister, Ruth “Babe” Elliot

Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Pepin, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin, WI.
