Joy Lillian (Bauerkemper) Heath

Joy Lillian Heath, 84, of Plum City, WI died Monday, April 10, 2023 at Advent Health in Durand, WI. She was born August 22, 1938 in Red Wing, MN; daughter of Roy and Alberta (Chapman) Bauerkemper.

She graduated from Red Wing Central High School.

On February 20, 1960 she married Dale “Dick” Heath in the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They lived all their married life in Plum City.

Joy was a daycare provider for many years. She enjoyed oil painting, embroidery, and crafts and loved Dolly Parton.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Cindy) Heath of Oshkosh, WI; daughters, Sharon (Randy) Bjurquist of Stockholm, WI and Linda (Roger) Pichler of Bay City, WI; one granddaughter, Shelby Pichler; sisters, Shirley (Mike) Flynn of Red Wing, MN and Avis (Joe) Campbell of West Salem, WI; along with nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Arkansaw with Pastor Paolo Vasquez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joy’s memory to the Arkansaw United Methodist Church.
