Obituary
June Carolyn Bignell, 84, of Arkansaw, WI died Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Heritage of Elmwood. She was born March 10, 1938 at home in Waterville Township, WI; daughter of Milton and Jennie (Maxwell) Colstrom. She attended school in Arkansaw.
On July 26, 1974 she married Gary Bignell in Eau Claire, WI. They lived in the Bay City and Hagar City area until returning to Arkansaw in 1993.
June enjoyed roller skating, dancing, attending state fairs and country western concerts. She liked horses and enjoyed going for rides in the car. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Bignell; children, Dianne (Dan) Velaski of Rosemount, MN, Jerry (Jean) Bignell of Owatanna, MN, April Bignell of Arkansaw, WI; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild and one on the way; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Jennie (Maxwell) Colstrom; brothers, Miles ‘Buzz’ and Max Colstrom.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery.
