Linda Louise Drier

Linda Louise Drier, age 80, of Arkansaw, WI died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Advent Health in Durand, WI. She was born April 7, 1940 in Pepin County, WI; daughter of  Alfred “Toad” and Avalyn  “Fern” ( Doughty) Martin.

In 1958 Linda graduated from Arkansaw High School.  Following high school she married William Drier of Durand.  While raising her sons Linda spent time working in her plaster of Paris shop. William and Linda later divorced.  Linda then started working as a nurse’s aide at Oakview Care Center in Durand where she worked for over 30 years.  During that time she spent many years with her special friend, Everett Biles.

 Linda was an active member of the Arkansaw United Methodist Church and spent much of her time on church events including pie making and church suppers.  She also enjoyed time going to garage sales, taking bus trips, having card parties and going to Red Hat events.  Knowing what was “going on around the area” was a favorite past time. 

 She is survived by her sons, Mark, David, Todd (Jessica) and Craig, all of Arkansaw; one grandson, Jeremy of Indiana; two brothers, David (Jan) Martin of Rochester and Bruce (Carol) Martin of Durand; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Linda will be greeted at heaven’s gate by her baby boy, Greg; parents, Toad and Fern; sister and brother-in-law, Karen Ann (Denny) Olson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating.
