Mary Jane (Shaw) Heath

Mary Jane Heath, 84, of Pepin, WI died Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Comforts of Home in Menomonie, WI. She was born May 17, 1939 in Durand, WI; daughter of Ruben and Myrtle (Plummer) Shaw. She graduated from Arkansaw High School.

On November 30, 1955 she married Russell Heath at the United Methodist Church in Arkansaw, WI.

She worked many years as a nurse’s aide at the Plum City Care Center, Bay View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Red Wing, MN and doing home health care in Fort Madison, IA.

Mary enjoyed cooking, baking and cleaning. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her other great enjoyments were watching birds and going on rides with her husband, Russell.

She was a very proud member of the United Methodist Church in Arkansaw, WI.

She is survived by her husband, Russell of Pepin, WI; daughter, Nancy (Andy) Erickson of Menomonie, WI; sons, Douglas (Gay) Heath and Tommy (Michelle) Heath, both of Plum City, WI; grandchildren, Jenny (Brian) Mathison, Becky Heath, Andy (Sarah) Heath, Matt (Kellie) Heath, Tiffany Heath, and Kelsey Erickson; six great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Shaw; sisters, Ruth Kralewski and Dorothy Metcalf; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Myrtle (Plummer) Shaw; sisters, Clara (Clarence) Bauer, Alice (Arnie) Tiedke, Doris (Sylvan) Bauer, brother, James (Marlene) Shaw; brothers-in-law, Leroy Kralewski, Herbert Metcalf; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Shaw.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Arkansaw, WI with Pastor Paolo Vasquez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery.
