Nancy Ruth (Murray) Anderson

Nancy Ruth Anderson (89) of Arkansaw, WI died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the Heritage of Elmwood. She was born January 16, 1934 in Pepin, WI; daughter of Edward and Alice (Seifert) Murray. Nancy attended school in Pepin.

On February 19, 1949 she married Harold Anderson at the United Methodist Church in Durand. They moved to St. Paul, MN where they raised their nine children. Nancy worked at Vomela Specialty Company for over 30 years. After retirement she moved back to the Arkansaw area.

Nancy loved to reading, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and watching the humming birds and wild life.

She is survived by her children,  Jerry (Kim) Anderson of Phillips, WI, Michael Anderson of Lewiston, MN, James Anderson of Wabasha, MN, Thomas Anderson of Arkansaw, WI, Deborah Day of New Richmond, WI and Denise (Charles) Nystrom of Linstrom, WI; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; three sons, David, Steven and Roger; twelve siblings, Gladys, Leroy, Leo, Myrt, Mildred, Joe, Darrel, Marion, Dorothy, Eldon, Ford, Norman “Mike”; and special friend, Paul Hutter.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Pepin United Methodist Church with Pastor Paolo Vasquez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin, WI.
