Richard Stewart Obituary

Richard Stewart Jr., age 83, of Minneapolis, MN, formerly Arkansaw passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home. He was born November 8, 1936 in Arkansaw; the son of Richard and Mary (Bignell) Stewart.

He graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1954. Following graduation he joined the United States Air Force. After returning from the Air Force he worked at a munitions plant in Minneapolis.

Richard enjoyed trips to Arizona during the winter months, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with family.

He is survived by two brothers, Elwood and Lawrence (Charlotte); three sisters, LaVina Herbst, Evelyn Keeler, and Catherine (Larry) Kraft; sister-in-law, Diane Stewart; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leonard, Nelson, James, and Darrel; two sisters, Myrtle Price and Genevieve Schultz; special niece, Tammy Sam; and special great-nephew, Brett Sam.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Porcupine Cemetery with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating. Military Honors to follow by Durand American Legion Post # 181.
