Obituary
Robert Allen Bernhardt, 56, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Pepin, WI died Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home. He was born June 29, 1965; son of James and Grace (Blohm) Bernhardt.
Bob was proud of making the front page when he was born in Wabasha, MN, setting a record for being the largest baby born at that hospital, weighing in at a healthy 12 pounds, 12 ounces.
He grew up in Pepin, WI and joined the Air Force. After serving, he studied electronic repair, offering his expertise throughout his career.
He was an active ham radio operator in the Eau Claire area and enjoyed communicating with whoever his radio signal reached. He was especially proud of the antennas he built, which allowed him to communicate far across the globe.
Bob was preceded in death by parents Jim and Grace Bernhardt, sister Lori and her spouse Dale Mosiman.
Bob is survived by his siblings, John Bernhardt, Steve (Terri) Bernhardt, Joel Bernhardt, Nancy (Don) Gisch, their son Don (Suzy) Gisch and their two children.
He will be missed.
