Shirley Herbison Obituary
Shirley Marie Herbison, 83, of Pepin, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in the comfort of her own home with family by her side. She was born June 29, 1937 in Pierce County, WI; daughter of Clyde and Wanda (Harnish) McLaughlin.
Shirley graduated from River Falls High School in 1955 and then moved to Plum City, WI where she met and married Arthur Herbison on October 27, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Plum City, WI. They raised 8 boys in Plum City, WI in their rural home, later moving to Pepin, WI while the 3 youngest boys were in high school.
Shirley loved visits from her many grandchildren who were the joy of her life. She loved to spend time with family at holiday gatherings. She also enjoyed bike rides, gardening and yardwork, and spoiling her cats.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; sons, Randall, Wendall, Gary (Cheryl), Eddy (Karen), Calvin, Brian (Sharon), Dana (Lisa); and daughter-in-law, Cathy Herbison; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Herbison; and brothers, Rodger and Darrell McLaughlin.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Union Cemetery in Plum City, WI with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI is assisting the family. To express on-line condolences, visit obituaries at www.goodrichfh.com
