Stanley Klevgard Obituary
Stanley Addison Klevgard (84) of Durand, WI died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at The Neighbors of Dunn Co. in Menomonie, WI. He was born May 18, 1934 in Durand, WI; son of Herman and Madeline (Golden) Klevgard.
In 1954 Stanley joined the United States Army and served in Germany. On December 1, 1956 he married Mary Beyer in Rochester, MN. Stanley loved to learn, he took a lot of classes. He worked as a master plumber, electrician, refrigeration, along with farming. He enjoyed reading the bible, writing poems and he was a self taught piano player. He was a member of American Legion Post #181.
In between he had some fun and some pain, some glory, some grief, some success, some failures. He loved and was loved. He liked to think he made a small difference for the better.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Klevard of Durand, WI; sons, Michael (Gwen) and children and grandchildren of Loyal, WI, Gregory (Lisa) of Las Vegas, NV, Kyle (Sally) of Arkansaw, WI; four grandchildren; Shane (Samantha), Bo (Tara) and children, Trinity and Haily, Thomas, Kenneth; great-granddaughter, Mya; brother, Roland (Barbara) Klevgard of Blaine, MN; sister, Muriel (Dale) Carlson of Wisconsin Rapids; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Madeline (Golden) Klevgard; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Gertrude Beyer; sister and brother-in-law, Joycelyn and Leon Huisman; great grandson, Easton Lane Klevgard.
A visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI. Burial will be in Maxville Cemetery in the spring.
