Susan Peters Obituary
Susan "Sue" Ann Peters, age 61, of Pepin, WI passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle against dementia, surrounded by her husband and two daughters at her home on Thursday, September 24, 2020. She was born January 24, 1959 in Wabasha, MN; daughter of Neil and Orene (Johnson) Longsdorf.
Sue graduated from Pepin High School. On May 1, 1976 she married Mark Peters in Pepin.She worked various jobs, including Jostens in Red Wing, MN, where she worked for over twenty years.
Sue was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, shooting pool and dancing. She loved helping people and enjoyed spending a lot of time with friends and family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and wanted to spend as much time with them as she could. She was known for her laugh and bringing people together, she was the life of the party!
She is survived by her husband, Mark Peters of Pepin, WI; two daughters, Angie (Jason) Jahnke of Pepin, WI and Beth (Chris) Peltier of Lake Elmo, MN; seven grandchildren, Brianna, Cody and Hailey Jahnke; Tyler, Brennan, Owen and Markus Peltier; one great-grandchild, Issa Peltier; three sisters, Linda Longsdorf, Julie (Paul) Davidson and Jean (Bob) Grab; several nieces and nephews, along with other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Orene (Johnson) Longsdorf.
There will be a private burial held for immediate family. Following the burial, Sue's family would like to invite all family and friends to a celebration of life from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Maiden Rock American Legion Hall. (W2770 20th Ave, Maiden Rock, WI 54750). Social distancing and face masks are required.
