Virgie Seifert Obituary
Virgie Evelyn Seifert (95) of Pepin went to be with her Lord on February 20, 2015 at Pepin Health and Rehab in Pepin, WI. She was born November 8, 1919 in Pepin Township; daughter of the Late August and Hulda (Seyffer) Bergmark.
January 28, 1942 she married Donald Seifert at the Congregational Church in Durand. Virgie and Don Farmed side by side in Pepin Township, Pepin County all of their married life. Don and Virgie loved to travel. Virgie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pepin and was active in all church functions. In her later years she volunteered at the Nursing home in Pepin, later when she lived there she enjoyed all the activities and socializing with the residents. Virgie loved to cook especially family dinners, she also enjoyed gardening, and always found time to fish with her grandchildren. Her favorite past times were search word books, puzzles, reading and spending time with her family
She is survived by her children, Carole (Wilbur) Orne of Pepin, WI; Arnold (Joanne) Seifert of Pepin, WI, Warren (Deborah) Seifert of Pepin, WI; grandchildren, Cretia (Brent) Risler, Kari (Todd) Loomis, David Hewitt, Thomas (Elsa) Seifert, Tonya (Richard) Wahl , Bradley (Lindsay) Seifert, Dustin (Fiancé Sarah Stein) Seifert and Jesse ( Girl Friend Jordan)Seifert; 9 great grandchildren: Chanson and Jacey Jo Risler; Alison, Anna and Abby Wahl; Evelia and Sabria Seifert; Kaylin and Harper Seifert; two brothers, Harry (Ellen) Bergmark and Alvin (Irene) Bergmark. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years and her grandson Troy Seifert.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Pepin with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating. There will be a spring burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin. Friends may call Monday from 4 -7 p.m. at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
